Selvan Masil is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Westray Capital Management.

He has 20 years’ experience in capital markets with 15 years’ experience in European equity long/short funds. Until January 2014 he was a portfolio manager at Theorema Advisors LLP where he ran his own carve-out portfolio for two years in their European Fund.

Prior to Theorema, Selvan was a partner and senior analyst at Pelham Capital Management LLP from 2008 to 2010, having joined at an early stage to rejoin a former colleague from Lansdowne Partners Limited.  Selvan entered the hedge fund industry in 2004 when he joined Lansdowne Partners where he worked for four years as an analyst on the European strategy covering a range of sectors.

Prior to Lansdowne Partners, he spent four years in investment banking, first at Merrill Lynch and then at Lexicon Partners (now Evercore Partners).

He has a first class degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University.
